Seattle, WA — In a meaningful step toward justice and inclusivity, the Congolese Integration Network (CIN) recently hosted an eye-opening educational session with representatives from the FBI and the Assistant U.S. Attorney’s Office, focused on understanding and addressing hate crimes.

The session, designed for CIN staff, featured detailed insights from federal experts, including the Criminal Civil Rights Coordinator, shedding light on the legal and social complexities of hate crimes. Participants explored real-world scenarios, legal definitions, victim support strategies, and the broader impact of these crimes on communities.

The Congolese Integration Network has long been committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all. As part of that mission, the organization continues to build strong partnerships and deepen its knowledge to address the evolving challenges facing immigrant and refugee communities.

“Education is a tool for transformation,” the team shared. “Together, we can combat hate—not with fear, but with understanding, compassion, and action.”
