Our Why:

The Congolese Integration Network (CIN) envisions a safe, inclusive, and healing-centered future for Congolese immigrants and refugees, as well as newcomers from diverse backgrounds. Through the development of the Washington Welcoming and Healing Center, CIN will create a permanent community hub serving over 3,000 individuals with access to stable housing, culturally responsive case management, and integrated support services.
The Center will provide immediate housing stability, coordinated wraparound services, and a strong sense of belonging to support successful long-term integration.
CIN has served the community since 2016 as a trusted provider of culturally and linguistically responsive services, addressing homelessness, mental health, and access to essential resources. The Welcoming and Healing Center expands this work by creating a dedicated space for healing, stability, and community connection for immigrants and refugees from the DRC and other nations.
Together, we are building a place of resilience, unity, and opportunity where families can heal, stabilize, and thrive.

Since 2019, The CONGOLESE INTEGRATION NETWORK (CIN) has been deeply involved in our community, organizing numerous events and initiatives:

  1. Countless community events to engage and strengthen our project.

  2. Five site tours to learn from other organizations' facility acquisition experiences.

  3. Five listening sessions involving youth, parents, business owners, students, and staff, gathering insights to serve over 3000 refugees and immigrants.

  4. Fundraising events to support our mission and projects.
