SEATTLE : Community engagement took center stage last week.

The gathering provided an important opportunity for community members to ask questions, voice concerns, and better understand the decisions affecting neighborhoods, schools, transportation, housing, public safety, and economic opportunities.

Both representatives have also expressed support for the Welcoming and Healing Center project, an initiative led by the Congolese Integration Network CIN aimed at creating a safe and welcoming space for immigrant and refugee families.

For organizations like CIN, these conversations are essential. Open dialogue and strong partnerships help ensure that every voice is heard and that communities can grow together through collaboration and mutual understanding.

CIN thanked Representatives Mia Gregerson and Edwin Obras for taking the time to engage directly with residents, listen to community perspectives, and invest in the future of the region. Community leaders expressed optimism about continuing to work together to help local communities thrive.
