Community Voices Shape King County’s Future: A Grateful Salute

Dernière mise à jour : il y a 1 jour

SEATTLE — “Nothing for the community without the community.” This guiding principle came to life recently as local residents, advocates, and partners came together in a powerful demonstration of civic engagement.

Congolese Integration Network and community members across King County extend a heartfelt thank you to the King County Department of Health and the Health Equity Zone for their unwavering commitment to inclusive public health. Through a series of community listening sessions and surveys, residents had the rare opportunity to speak directly to decision-makers, sharing lived experiences, concerns, and hopes for the future.

These sessions not only provided a safe space for honest dialogue but also laid the foundation for meaningful policy change that reflects the realities of those most affected. The enthusiasm, transparency, and participation shown by residents were a testament to the power of community-led solutions.

A special note of gratitude goes to the King County Public Health team, whose partnership and dedication have made this process possible. Their ongoing work in promoting equity and well-being stands as a model for collaborative governance.

As the effort continues, organizers encourage all King County residents to lend their voices. Every story matters. Every perspective counts. Together, we are shaping a healthier, more equitable tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and made a difference.
