Equipping the Next Generation: Over 300 Gather for CIN's Vibrant Back-to-School Celebration

SEATTLE : Laughter, music, and the unmistakable buzz of a new academic year filled the air as more than 300 community members turned out for the Congolese Integration Network’s (CIN) annual Back-to-School BBQ and Family Fun Day.

Designed to ease the financial burden on families while getting students excited for the classroom, the lively community gathering delivered an afternoon of food, games, and essential support. The highlight of the day for many youngsters was receiving free backpacks and school supplies, ensuring that hundreds of local students walk through school doors equipped, confident, and ready to learn.


Beyond the supplies, the event served as a powerful anchor for community connection, bringing families and local leaders together ahead of the fall bell. Volunteers and partners worked hand-in-hand to create a welcoming space where parents could network, youth could forge friendships, and the entire neighborhood could celebrate the potential of its youngest residents.

With every backpack handed out and every shared meal, CIN continues to prove that investing in youth is the most powerful way to build a resilient and thriving future.
