Congolese Health Board Marks Major Milestone in Community Health Work

Seattle, WA – In a powerful gathering of nearly 40 community members, the Congolese Health Board (CHB) celebrated a milestone that underscores its growing impact on health equity and access.

This event honored the work of CHB’s health access interns, who have been on the frontlines of collecting essential data to better understand the health needs of the local Congolese and African communities. With support from the Health Commons Projects and funding from the Washington State Department of Health, the initiative has produced insights that will shape the organization’s next chapter.

The information gathered will influence future programming, guide advocacy efforts, and inform strategic decisions on service locations, with a special focus on pressing issues like housing.

The CHB extended deep thanks to everyone who participated and shared feedback. Community voices are at the heart of this mission, and this achievement reflects a shared commitment to building a healthier future.

The Congolese Health Board is energized by what lies ahead and remains committed to advancing the health and well-being of the people it serves.
